Multicast Networks appoints Yvan Cournoyer to the Advisory Board.

MCNSports, a wholly owned subsidiary of Multicast Networks Holdings Incorporated, today formally announced that Yvan Cournoyer has joined Multicast Networks in the capacity of Advisory Board member.

Nicknamed "the Roadrunner," Yvan Cournoyer won 10 Stanley Cups with the Montreal Canadiens and was made the team captain. By the time he retired, he was among the all-time leaders in scoring for the storied franchise and he and his team had proven many doubters wrong about his adaptability and perseverance.

In 16 seasons of play, Cournoyer established himself as one of the premier forwards in the NHL, scoring 428 goals and 435 assists in 968 games. Perhaps the finest moment in his career came in the playoffs in 1973, where he scored 15 goals in 17 games and was the recipient of the Conn Smythe Trophy, which is awarded to the MVP of the NHL's playoffs at their conclusion. Cournoyer played in six All-Star Games, and was on 10 Stanley Cup-winning teams.

In the 1996-97 NHL season, Cournoyer was an assistant coach for Les Canadiens. He now serves as an official ambassador for the organization. Cournoyer was inducted to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982.

Marc Brunet, CEO of Multicast Networks says, “Not only was Mr. Cournoyer known and respected globally as great hockey player, but he continues to be one of the greatest ambassadors that the game of has ever known. As hockey is and will continue to be a big part of our sports content, we here at MCN are very excited to have Mr. Cournoyer involved and associated with our company.”
